BH617 Jabot Brooch w/ Turquoise - Jabot pins are often found in Edwardian and Art Deco jewelry. This is a design that allows one piece of the brooch to come off, exposing the sharp pin. It can then be threaded onto the garment with the point exposed and the end piece is put back on. On this one, a small length of chain attaches the two pieces to one another. This kind of brooch was intended to hold the front ruffle in place on a shirt or blouse . 3" in length, the top design of three leaves is 3/4" wide. They and the single leaf at the bottom are set with 1mm Turquoise beads. Very bright finish, 9 or 10 Karat Gold and a lovely Art Deco example. STOLEN
